The Children’s Christmas Party is on again this year (22/12/2019) but it will be 2 hours shorter than last year as the hall has been rented out at 3pm. We must clear up and throw all rubbish before then. Santa and the Elf will make an appearance again. See poster in the Church porch and hall and as before, write your name on the food list against the food you will bring to share. If you want to bring something different that is not on the list, it is fine. Just write your name and the dish you will bring at the bottom of page 2 of the food list. Please make sure you bring presents in the right colour. Thank you and look forward to seeing you all on 22/12/2019 after the 10:30am mass.

BINGO NIGHT – A total of £360.11 was raised from tickets, raffles and food/drinks donations and this has been donated to The Passage to help the homeless people this winter.

THE SCHOOL OF JOY – CHRISTMAS SALES. Thank you to everyone who purchased items and raffles over the weekend at the Christmas stall. The Raffle draw will take place next weekend 8th December during the Coffee Morning. £1,107 was raised bringing the total to £1,644.50. We are little more than halfway to reach our target of £3,000. Our thanks to all the volunteers for setting up, manning the stalls and selling the items, both in the porch and hall. Special thanks to the Confirmation kids who were a great help.

BINGO NIGHT held on Friday night was a huge success and everyone had a superb time. I have been requested to have it as often as possible or at least twice a year. Many thanks to Hilary Funston, Maggie Kolecka, Shahnaz Alfaioli and Rowena Ledesma for helping to shop, set-up and serve drinks and supper and the many who contributed and donated the prizes. Special thanks to Zenaida Pambuena for making the delicious chicken which everyone enjoyed tremendously. Below some photos, courtesy of Shahnaz Alfaioli and Me-Ann Tapleras. Unfortunately couldn’t capture anymore due to start of the game.

The Christmas Fair in aid of the School of Joy in Bethlehem project will be held on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December in the porch at all Masses except Sunday 6pm and in the Hall during the Coffee Morning after the 10:30am Mass. There will also be the Christmas Raffle which will be drawn in the Hall on Sunday 8th December. Details can be found on the poster in the porch and below. Please support this Parish Project in aid of the Holy Land.

FOODBANK – For December they are requesting festive tins of chocolates (Celebrations, Heroes, Quality Street, Roses) as they wish to give those who use their centre a tin each for Christmas. They also need UHT Longlife milk, sugar, tea, coffee, tins of custards, fruits and soups. See picture below of the festive tins.

BINGO NIGHT – We are having a Bingo Night in the Church Hall on Friday 29th November 2019 from 7:30pm-9:30pm with a free drink served at 7:00pm. Any further drinks will be on donation basis. Ticket price £8 per person including one free drink. Midway through game we will have a light meal. Tickets are limited and strictly for Adults only. If interested, contact Jyoti for tickets. For those of you interested in the Divine Mercy and the life of St. Faustina, please see this movie (below picture) showing in London for ONE DAY ONLY on Monday, 18th November at 8:30pm at the Odeon Cinema in Holloway. Tickets are going fast and you can book online. Outside of London it is showing in Brighton, Wimbledon, etc.. also for one day only.

The School of Joy, Parish Project update. The Michaelmas sale raised £537.50 plus donations of £152 making a total of £689.50 todate. Our Christmas Sale is on 30th November/1st December, please continue to support this project.

MOVIE NIGHT on Wednesday 30th October 2019 in the Parish Hall at 7:30pm with Refreshments at 7pm. It is a black/white film titled ‘The Keys of the Kingdom’ starring Gregory Peck. It’s about a Scottish boy orphaned at young age and joins the priesthood as an adult and later becomes a missionary in China. All are welcome. See poster below and in the Church Porch.
