ST. EDWARD’S FEAST DAY AFTERNOON TEA was a real success yesterday especially since it’s the first time we have hosted an afternoon tea event. Parishioners were extremely generous with their food contributions. There were loads of assorted cakes, cupcakes, sandwiches, quiches, sausage rolls, a variety of biscuits, cookies, macaroons and a special treat of Mimosa (bubbly with orange juice). We also had two raffle draws – free raffle tickets were given out, one each to adults and kids. A very big thanks to the volunteers (Rowena Ledesma, Me-Ann Tapleras, Vangie Bisnar, Thes Bautista, Michelle de Castro, Rosita Stanfield, Shahnaz Alfaioli, Mary Azeez, Diana Koh, Tina Toemion, Hilary Funstion and John Hoshimi) in getting everything ready – setting up of the hall and the clearing/washing up etc…. Without them, this event would not have been possible. Last but not the least, thank you to Deacon Anthony Clark and Emmie Gamalinda for helping with the draw.
