Yesterday, 18th August 2019, we had the Divine Mercy Retreat in our Church and I must say we had a great turn out. Not very many photos were taken as we were involved in helping Father Andrzej Gowkielewicz. The Retreat started with Father Andrzej gathering everyone in the porch in front of the Divine Mercy picture to Praise and Worship the Image and gave a short talk and blessings with the Holy Water before processing down the nave to the Sanctuary. Two pictures of the Divine Mercy were placed on the Sanctuary next to and in front of the Altar as seen below. He gave a talk, hymns were sung (he brought his own Organist), then the Chaplet was said and Benediction before Mass. After that Veneration of the Image of Merciful Jesus and Relic of St. Faustina. Before the end of the Retreat, we distributed the The Image which was blessed and a magazine issued by the Divine Mercy Centre. We apologise to those who didn’t get copies as we ran short of them. Father Andrzej managed to take two confessions and enjoyed a short refreshment in the hall prior departure. We look forward to having another Retreat hopefully next year.
