Morogoro Project – since it started in September 2017, by the end of December 2017, we reached our goal of £3,000. Many thanks to our parishioners for their generous support. A cheque for a further £2,000 has been sent to Rome to be taken to Morogoro. As the project is to continue til June 2018, any further donations that come in will go towards the chicken feed.
Our annual Christmas dinner took place last night 19/12/2017 at The Harvester Jolly Badger Bar & Restaurant in Edgeware. This is a change to previous years when it was held at the Red Lion (Toby’s Carvery) in High Barnet. This event is organised yearly by Joan How of the Mid Week Group. We had an amazing 33 people which is double the numbers to past years.
Our Christmas decorations are finally up. Thanks to our lovely ladies Grazyna Yiassoumis and Frances Phillips, they once again worked hard to get our church ready for Christmas. The two trees are up with swags on all columns, lectern and baptismal font. The lights on the trees will be put up next week and the Christmas flowers will also be done. Thanks to our volunteers Albert Connick, Cornelius Yap, Maggie Kolecka, Zenaida Pambuena, Karen Miyasaki and Jyoti Ramchand, the Nativity Scene was set-up today. As usual, all offerings taken at the crib will go to help the work of the Catholic Children’s Society (Crusade of Rescue). Do give generously. Thank you.
